2. Job Description
The position of Officer Cost & Budgeting at Ghani Ceramics is designed for individuals who are passionate about financial analysis, cost management, and budget planning. The selected candidate will be an integral part of our finance team and will support the effective management of financial resources across departments.
This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP is a plus), and the ability to collaborate with other departments. The Officer will report directly to the Manager Finance & Costing and will support a wide range of operational and strategic activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budget Preparation and Monitoring:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets in coordination with department heads. Track budget utilization and identify variances in real-time for corrective actions. - Costing Analysis:
Evaluate production and operating costs using standard costing methods. Conduct regular reviews of material, labor, and overhead costs to identify cost-saving opportunities. - Monthly and Quarterly Reports:
Prepare and present costing reports, budget consumption summaries, and variance analysis reports to the finance leadership. - Inventory Valuation:
Support the monthly closing process by assisting in inventory valuation and reconciliation with store and production departments. - Expense Auditing and Verification:
Review and verify departmental expenses to ensure alignment with approved budgets and highlight areas of overspending. - Process Improvement:
Identify inefficiencies in budgeting and costing processes. Recommend improvements and automation strategies to improve accuracy and turnaround time. - Coordination with Internal Teams:
Work closely with production, procurement, and warehouse departments to gather cost-related data and assist in preparing reports for decision-makers. - Compliance and Standards:
Ensure all cost and budget activities comply with internal policies and relevant accounting standards. Assist with internal audits and external financial reviews as needed.

3. Eligibility Criteria
We are seeking a self-driven and competent individual who meets the following criteria:
Education:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce from a recognized university
- Additional certifications such as CMA or ACCA Part Qualified will be considered an advantage
Experience:
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in cost accounting, budgeting, or financial planning, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setup
- Prior experience working with SAP or other ERP systems is highly desirable
Skills Required:
- Strong command over Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation
- Solid understanding of cost accounting methods, including standard and activity-based costing
- Ability to interpret financial data and present clear recommendations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with industrial operations and supply chain concepts will be a plus
