Job Description

The role of Officer – Engineering (HVAC & Utilities) at Samikhi Pvt. Ltd. is designed for motivated professionals who want to build a solid career in engineering services, particularly in HVAC systems and industrial utility management. This role is ideal for candidates who possess both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical skills in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVAC and utility systems within an industrial or corporate environment.

The Officer will be part of the engineering department and will directly contribute to ensuring that all HVAC and utility systems function efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Given the critical role of HVAC systems in modern workplaces—whether in pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, or commercial facilities—the Officer will be responsible for ensuring that environmental conditions remain optimal for production, comfort, and regulatory requirements.

Core Responsibilities

HVAC System Operation and Maintenance
- Oversee the daily operation of HVAC systems, including chillers, cooling towers, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), and duct systems.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted system performance.
- Troubleshoot issues such as abnormal sounds, vibration, airflow restrictions, or inefficiencies in temperature control.
- Ensure compliance with energy-saving initiatives by maintaining HVAC systems at optimal performance.
Utility Management
- Manage utilities including boilers, compressors, generators, pumps, and other auxiliary systems.
- Conduct inspections and maintain logs for key utility parameters like pressure, temperature, and flow rate.
- Identify areas where energy savings can be achieved and propose corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for third-party maintenance, equipment upgrades, or repairs.
Compliance and Documentation
- Maintain proper documentation of system performance, preventive maintenance schedules, and breakdown reports.
- Ensure systems are in compliance with relevant safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and health & safety teams to implement regulatory requirements.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff or technicians assigned to utilities.
- Actively participate in team meetings, progress reviews, and engineering improvement discussions.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing downtime, and minimizing operational costs.
- Stay updated with the latest HVAC and utility technologies to recommend modern practices and tools.
- Support management in implementing sustainability and energy conservation initiatives.

Skills Required

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and their practical applications.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Requirements

Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, or relevant discipline.
B. Tech degree holders in Mechanical, HVAC, or Electrical engineering will be preferred.
Additional certifications in HVAC systems, utilities, or energy management will be considered a plus.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in HVAC and utility management roles.
Experience in industrial environments such as pharmaceuticals, FMCG, manufacturing, or facility management will be advantageous.
Hands-on exposure to maintaining chillers, compressors, boilers, and HVAC systems is required.
