Job Description
Talos Automation is seeking PLC Programmers for a contract role in Germany. The responsibilities of this role include:
- Programming and configuring PLC systems for industrial automation projects.
- Using Siemens TIA Portal to develop, test, and implement control programs.
- Troubleshooting and optimizing existing PLC programs to ensure efficient system operation.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to integrate PLC systems with other automation hardware.
- Supporting automotive sector projects, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and client requirements.
- Participating in project documentation, progress tracking, and reporting to project managers.
- Conducting system tests, commissioning activities, and providing technical support during installation.
- Following safety standards, operational guidelines, and industry best practices for industrial automation.
This position requires a strong understanding of PLC programming principles, Siemens TIA Portal experience, and the ability to work effectively on automotive-related automation projects. Candidates will have the opportunity to work on complex systems, gain international experience, and contribute to high-profile projects within the automotive industry.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Proven experience in PLC programming, preferably with Siemens TIA Portal.
- Skills:
- Expertise in industrial automation and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Other Requirements:
- EU Nationals only.
- Ability to start immediately (WK36) and commit to a contract-based role.
- Flexibility to work in Germany on-site for the project duration.
