Job Description
1. Production Planning Engineer
The Production Planning Engineer at Indus Motor Company Ltd will be responsible for creating and managing production plans that ensure the timely delivery of products while optimizing the use of resources such as labor, materials, and machinery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing detailed production schedules aligned with customer demand and delivery timelines.
- Coordinating closely with production teams, procurement, and supply chain departments to ensure adherence to schedules.
- Monitoring daily output and making adjustments to avoid production delays or downtime.
- Using analytical tools to forecast production requirements and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Ensuring that production planning aligns with inventory levels to minimize excess or shortages.
This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent coordination abilities, and an understanding of production systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
2. Internal Logistics Engineer
The Internal Logistics Engineer will play a key role in designing and optimizing the flow of materials from warehouses to production lines, ensuring that the manufacturing process runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and improving internal material flow systems, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to production lines.
- Optimizing route planning, trolley/kitting operations, and space utilization to enhance productivity.
- Implementing Kaizen and problem-solving techniques such as the PDCA cycle to improve logistics efficiency.
- Coordinating with multiple departments to streamline processes and reduce material handling time.
- Applying data-driven decision-making using tools such as MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and Power BI.
This role demands a combination of technical expertise, process improvement skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Eligibility Criteria
For Both Positions:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in a relevant manufacturing or engineering role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- Familiarity with Power BI or other data analysis tools will be an advantage.
- Understanding of production, supply chain, or logistics processes.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Hands-on approach and a continuous improvement mindset.
Additional Desirable Skills:
- Experience in lean manufacturing or Toyota Production System practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic production environment.
- Project management and cross-functional collaboration experience.
