Job Description
MAKPOWER is seeking a Project Manager – Electrical SCADA for its Islamabad (DHA-1) office. This role is critical for leading SCADA projects from design and planning through execution and commissioning. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end SCADA projects, including design, planning, execution, and commissioning.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand requirements, propose solutions, and ensure expectations are met.
- Lead cross-functional engineering and technical teams, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring milestones are achieved.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for smooth project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in SCADA systems, automation, and electrical project management.
- Prepare and present project status reports to management and stakeholders.
- Drive innovation in SCADA automation solutions, introducing efficiency and cost-saving approaches.
The Project Manager – Electrical SCADA will act as the bridge between clients, suppliers, and internal teams. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in SCADA and electrical systems, and the ability to handle complex, multi-phase projects in a fast-paced environment.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the role of Project Manager – Electrical SCADA, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification in Project Management (PMP/PMI) will be an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of professional experience in SCADA systems, automation, and electrical project execution. Prior experience in project management of large-scale electrical or automation projects is required.
- Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of SCADA systems design, installation, and commissioning.
- Strong understanding of PLC, HMI, and automation integration.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, safety standards, and compliance regulations.
- Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to deliver under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Project or equivalent project management software.
- Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work in Islamabad (DHA-1) and travel to client/project sites if needed.
- Commitment to uphold safety, environmental, and quality standards.
