Job Offering Company Introduction

Indus Motor Company Limited (IMC), also known as Toyota Indus, is one of the most respected and leading automobile manufacturers in Pakistan. Established in 1990 as a joint venture among House of Habib, Toyota Motor Corporation Japan, and Toyota Tsusho Corporation Japan, the company has played a crucial role in shaping Pakistan’s automotive landscape. Headquartered in Karachi and operating from a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant at Port Qasim, Karachi, Indus Motor Company is engaged in the assembly, progressive manufacturing, and marketing of Toyota brand vehicles in Pakistan.

Over the years, IMC has built its reputation on quality, innovation, and reliability. It is the exclusive manufacturer, assembler, and distributor of Toyota vehicles in Pakistan, offering a wide range of cars, including the Corolla, Fortuner, Hilux, and hybrid models. The company has an extensive nationwide dealership network that ensures after-sales service, spare parts availability, and customer care, making Toyota a household name across Pakistan.

From the very beginning, Indus Motor Company has embraced the Toyota Production System (TPS), which emphasizes efficiency, lean manufacturing, and waste reduction. This globally renowned system has allowed IMC to maintain world-class standards in its operations. Beyond just vehicle assembly, the company has actively localized parts manufacturing, engaging with local vendors and suppliers to strengthen Pakistan’s industrial base.

In recent years, IMC has expanded its focus to include sustainable practices, employee development, and supply chain excellence. Recognizing that the future of the automotive industry depends on adaptability and innovation, IMC invests heavily in training programs, internships, and project-based trainee opportunities for young graduates. These programs not only help the company identify talented individuals but also contribute to the professional growth of Pakistan’s youth.

One of the company’s most important departments is Supply Chain Management (SCM), which ensures a seamless flow of materials, spare parts, and finished goods across the network. The SCM function supports everything from sourcing raw materials to coordinating with vendors and ensuring timely vehicle delivery to customers. Without an efficient supply chain, automobile production cannot run smoothly. For this reason, Indus Motor Company places a high value on supply chain professionals and offers specialized trainee programs to develop future leaders in this field.

The Project Trainee Program is a perfect example of how IMC bridges the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. By engaging fresh graduates in real-world projects, IMC equips them with exposure to large-scale industrial operations, technical knowledge, and Toyota’s unique culture of continuous improvement (Kaizen). For students with a passion for Supply Chain Management, this opportunity is both a career foundation and a learning journey with one of Pakistan’s top corporate names.

This program is ideal for graduates who want to build a career in supply chain, logistics, and procurement.
