Job Description

The QA Lead – Embedded Systems at SmartEnds is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing quality assurance strategies for embedded products. The role ensures the stability, reliability, and performance of hardware, firmware, and software components across the company’s IoT ecosystem.

Key responsibilities include developing testing frameworks, leading automation efforts in Python and C, and coordinating between development and QA teams to ensure efficient and accurate testing. The QA Lead will manage manual testing processes, design test plans, and oversee the execution of test cases, both automated and manual.

This position also involves mentoring and guiding a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving. The candidate will work closely with hardware, electrical, mechanical, and embedded software teams to validate product designs, identify potential failures, and implement corrective measures before product release.

The QA Lead will be pivotal in defining quality metrics, managing defect tracking systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. By taking a hands-on approach and providing strategic direction, the candidate will ensure that SmartEnds delivers embedded solutions that are not only functional but highly reliable under diverse operating conditions.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a recognized institution.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in QA, testing, or embedded systems. Experience in IoT or hardware-software integrated testing is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of embedded systems, firmware, and hardware testing.
- Proficiency in Python, C, or other scripting/programming languages used in automated testing.
- Experience with manual and automated testing tools.
- Understanding of hardware, electrical, and mechanical testing processes.
