2. Job Description
Infotech Group is seeking enthusiastic and talented individuals for two engineering roles: Mechanical Engineers and Architectural Engineers. These are full-time, remote positions tailored for professionals residing in Lahore, Pakistan. Candidates will be engaged on international projects and work closely with teams across different time zones.
A. Mechanical Engineer – Remote Role
The mechanical engineering role involves supporting the design and development of building systems, HVAC plans, duct layouts, and other mechanical infrastructures for commercial and industrial structures. You’ll be expected to create, modify, and optimize mechanical plans using AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring all work aligns with American engineering codes and client specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC systems, duct routing, and piping layouts based on building requirements.
- Interpret client sketches and transform them into complete engineering drawings.
- Prepare mechanical plans and schematics using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Perform calculations for airflows, heat loads, and energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to revise and finalize mechanical layouts.
- Participate in virtual project meetings with the U.S.-based engineering team.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. mechanical engineering standards and specifications.
B. Architectural Engineer – Remote Role
The architectural engineering role is tailored for professionals who have a deep understanding of building layouts, spatial planning, facade design, and construction drawing documentation. The selected candidate will work on developing accurate architectural models, elevations, sections, and visual presentations using Revit and AutoCAD.
Responsibilities:
- Draft architectural floor plans, elevations, sections, and details in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Develop 3D models and assist in visualization presentations.
- Interpret architectural design concepts into working drawings.
- Work with the design team to ensure accuracy and completeness of models.
- Provide regular updates and respond to feedback from U.S.-based project leads.
- Participate in design meetings and contribute to project timelines and delivery.
- Ensure architectural plans comply with applicable standards and zoning requirements.
Shared Responsibilities for Both Roles:
- Maintain version control and organization of all project documents and CAD files.
- Deliver assigned tasks on time with a high level of detail and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and cross-functional teams.
- Work independently and manage time effectively while working remotely.
- Troubleshoot design or system issues as they arise in collaboration with team leads.

3. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (for mechanical roles).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Architecture (for architectural roles).
- Degrees must be from recognized institutions accredited by HEC or equivalent international bodies.
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is mandatory.
- For Mechanical Engineers:
- Understanding of HVAC principles, piping, and ducting.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards is a plus.
- For Architectural Engineers:
- Knowledge of design documentation and architectural detailing.
- Experience in 3D modeling and rendering workflows is advantageous.
Language and Communication:
- English language proficiency is essential, particularly for writing emails, understanding technical documents, and participating in remote meetings.
- Good communication skills and confidence in virtual collaboration environments (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
Experience Level:
- Fresh graduates who have completed strong design-focused final year projects are encouraged to apply.
