Job Description

OneAir is hiring a Sales Engineer for its Pumps Division in Faisalabad. This is a full-time position aimed at engineering professionals who have the right balance of technical knowledge and sales skills.

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying potential clients, understanding their pumping needs, offering technical solutions, and managing the full sales cycle from inquiry to post-sale support. You’ll be the face of OneAir in the field—meeting customers, attending technical meetings, preparing proposals, and ensuring client satisfaction.

This role is not a desk job. It’s a combination of field visits, technical consultation, and sales development, making it ideal for engineers who like to be on the move, interact with industrial clients, and work closely with real systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Sales and Business Development

  • Identify and target new industrial clients in Faisalabad and nearby industrial zones
  • Conduct site visits to understand client needs for pumping systems (e.g., water pumps, booster pumps, chemical transfer systems)
  • Build long-term relationships with plant engineers, maintenance teams, and procurement departments
  • Promote OneAir’s pump solutions based on application suitability, energy savings, and total cost of ownership

2. Solution Design and Proposal Development

  • Understand system specifications and sizing requirements of pumps based on flow rate, pressure, temperature, and fluid characteristics
  • Select suitable pump models in coordination with technical teams and vendors
  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals, quotes, and tender submissions
  • Ensure alignment with client budgets, timelines, and technical standards

3. Client Coordination and Closing

  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations when needed
  • Handle client objections and provide technical clarifications
  • Finalize order terms and coordinate with logistics for timely delivery
  • Ensure payment follow-ups and support on warranty claims or after-sales requests

4. Market Feedback and Reporting

  • Track competitor activity, market trends, and new project announcements
  • Share insights with senior management to refine product offerings
  • Submit daily sales reports and customer feedback logs

5. Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Work closely with the pumps division team including application engineers, technicians, and service support
  • Coordinate with the head office for documentation, vendor communication, and project planning
  • Participate in trade exhibitions, seminars, and industry networking events

This role is ideal for an engineer with 2–3 years of experience who wants to step into a client-facing, high-impact position. You’ll be trained on OneAir’s pump range and supported by a senior team, but expected to show independence, curiosity, and responsibility from day one.


Eligibility Criteria

The role of Sales Engineer – Pumps Division is a technical sales position that requires a mix of engineering knowledge, sales skills, and professional maturity. OneAir is looking for candidates who understand engineering concepts but are also comfortable in client meetings and negotiations.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Minimum BSc or BE degree in:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
  • Must be from a recognized and accredited institution
  • Additional training or certification in fluid systems, HVAC, or industrial equipment will be considered a plus

Work Experience:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in technical sales, service, or system design for:
    • Industrial pumps
    • HVAC equipment
    • Water treatment systems
    • General mechanical/electrical systems
  • Fresh graduates with strong internships in sales or client-facing roles may also be considered
  • Experience with international pump brands like Grundfos, Wilo, KSB, or Ebara will be an advantage

Technical Competencies:

  • Understanding of:
    • Pump types (centrifugal, booster, submersible, chemical, etc.)
    • Pump curves, NPSH, motor sizing, and head calculations
    • Industrial process requirements and utility systems
    • Basic knowledge of piping layouts, flow meters, and control valves
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools
  • Ability to read technical datasheets and interpret application requirements

Sales & Communication Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication in English and Urdu
  • Confident in delivering presentations to engineers and management-level clients
  • Must be proactive, self-motivated, and driven by targets
  • Ability to build rapport, manage client expectations, and close deals professionally

Personal Attributes:

  • Residing in or willing to relocate to Faisalabad
  • Comfortable with daily travel within the city and occasional out-of-city trips
  • Own transport preferred (or willing to arrange local travel independently)
