Job Description
The Sales Manager – Lifting Equipment will be responsible for leading the national growth of RUD’s Sling Systems and other lifting equipment solutions. This is a strategic role that combines market development with client engagement, requiring a professional who can manage long sales cycles, influence decision-makers, and deliver measurable results.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a nationwide sales growth strategy, identifying and pursuing new market opportunities, and building long-term partnerships with clients and distributors. The manager will be the face of RUD’s lifting equipment division, presenting technical solutions that align with client needs and industry requirements.
The role requires someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. This includes conducting market research, leading account management efforts, and providing tailored solutions to clients across multiple industries. Regular travel across Australia will be required to meet with clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders, ensuring RUD’s presence and influence are consistently strong.
The position also involves close collaboration with internal teams, including engineering and product development, to ensure solutions meet technical standards and client requirements. Reporting to the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, the manager will provide regular updates on growth strategies, sales performance, and emerging opportunities.
This is a client-facing leadership position where influence, technical credibility, and strong communication skills are key to success.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the role of Sales Manager – Lifting Equipment, candidates should demonstrate a proven track record in technical B2B sales, with at least five years of sales experience and leadership exposure. A background in lifting equipment, materials handling, or related engineering/manufacturing industries will be highly regarded.
Strong knowledge of distributor networks and OEMs is required, as the position involves managing relationships across these channels. Hands-on experience with strategic selling and account management, particularly in industries with long sales cycles, will also be valuable. Candidates should be able to demonstrate their ability to influence outcomes, close deals, and manage complex client relationships.
