Job Description
The Senior Automation Engineer will play a key role in the design, implementation, and commissioning of industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in PLC and SCADA programming, system integration, and field commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- PLC Programming: Develop, test, and deploy PLC programs for various control systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and operational efficiency.
- SCADA Programming: Design and configure SCADA systems to provide real-time monitoring, data visualization, and process control for industrial applications.
- System Design and Assembly: Participate in the complete system design lifecycle, including panel layout, wiring diagrams, and hardware configuration. Supervise system assembly and pre-installation testing.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) to verify system functionality before and after deployment.
- Field Installation and Commissioning: Oversee on-site installation, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure the successful commissioning of automation systems.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare technical documents, including user manuals, wiring schematics, and project reports.
- Client Coordination: Collaborate with clients to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, mechanical teams, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintenance Support: Provide post-commissioning support and system updates when necessary.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Automatic Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of professional experience in automation, control systems, or industrial engineering.
- Proven track record of designing, programming, and commissioning PLC and SCADA systems.
- Practical experience in industrial system installation, wiring, and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills:
- Strong command over PLC programming platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or similar).
- Proficiency in SCADA software development (e.g., WinCC, Wonderware, or iFIX).
- Deep understanding of electrical schematics, control circuits, and system integration.
- Experience in instrument calibration, communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP), and industrial automation standards.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for both hardware and software issues.
