Job Description
Edraak Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electronics Engineer / Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced industrial automation systems. This senior-level position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong technical background in control systems, embedded hardware, and process automation to play a key role in designing next-generation industrial solutions.
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of automation projects—from system design and programming to commissioning and performance optimization. The role requires hands-on expertise in integrating electronics, sensors, PLCs, and communication modules into reliable, scalable industrial solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement industrial automation and control systems, including hardware selection, signal interfacing, and control logic development.
- Develop and integrate electronic control circuits, sensor interfaces, and communication modules for industrial applications.
- Configure, program, and optimize PLC, HMI, and industrial controllers for automation workflows.
- Build and deploy real-time monitoring and data acquisition systems to enable data-driven insights from shop-floor machines.
- Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems into industrial equipment.
- Implement industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, OPC-UA, RS-485, and CAN for multi-device interoperability.
- Oversee system commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting of automation and control hardware.
- Design electrical panels, wiring diagrams, and control architecture compliant with industry safety standards.
- Lead the deployment of supervisory and data monitoring systems such as SCADA and IoT dashboards.
Eligibility Criteria
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
- Minimum 6 to 10 years of hands-on industrial experience in automation, instrumentation, and control systems.
Technical Skills:
- Strong command of PLC and HMI programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Delta, etc.).
- Expertise in industrial sensors, actuators, VFDs, encoders, and servo drives.
- Deep understanding of control theory, process automation, and signal conditioning.
- Experience with electronic circuit design, PCB development, and embedded system integration.
- Familiarity with industrial data acquisition systems, SCADA platforms, and IIoT frameworks.
- Strong grasp of industrial networking protocols and control system safety standards.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience integrating automation systems with cloud or MES platforms.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards such as IEC, ISO, or CE compliance.
- Leadership experience in multi-disciplinary engineering environments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under tight timelines.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and documentation skills.
