Job Description
The Shift Incharge – Utility and Maintenance Department will be responsible for managing, supervising, and optimizing all mechanical operations during the assigned shift. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that all utility and mechanical systems run efficiently, safely, and without disruption to the production process.
The selected candidate will lead a team of technicians, mechanics, and support staff to handle maintenance activities, troubleshoot machinery issues, and ensure adherence to safety protocols. The Shift Incharge will also serve as a bridge between the technical workforce and higher management, ensuring timely reporting and coordination for maintenance requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and managing all mechanical operations during the shift.
- Ensuring the smooth functioning of utility systems, mechanical equipment, and related infrastructure.
- Coordinating maintenance activities with production, electrical, and utility teams to prevent downtime.
- Implementing preventive maintenance schedules and ensuring proper documentation of maintenance logs.
- Leading and guiding technicians and mechanical staff, ensuring they follow safety and operational procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with both internal and external safety and quality standards.
- Reporting any mechanical faults, equipment failures, or unusual incidents to senior management.
- Collaborating with other departments to achieve overall production efficiency and reliability.
- Maintaining spare part records and ensuring availability for critical maintenance tasks.
- Conducting shift handovers efficiently, ensuring that incoming teams are updated on operational statuses.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) or Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Mechanical Technology from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 4–5 years of experience in mechanical operations, maintenance, or utility systems within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment used in manufacturing.
- Experience in supervising maintenance operations and managing technical staff.
- Proficiency in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with mechanical safety standards, industrial tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of utility systems, compressors, pumps, and mechanical processes.
