Job Description
As a Sr. Technician – Electrical, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the performance of electrical and electronic systems across the manufacturing plant. This role demands hands-on expertise in industrial automation, PLCs, and electrical control systems, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Your primary duties will include conducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of electrical and electronic machinery. You will work closely with the engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in PLC systems, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and other control systems.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of electrical systems for new machinery.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and service records.
- Coordinate with vendors for component repair and replacement.
- Provide technical support to minimize machine downtime.
- Support energy conservation and system optimization initiatives.
This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can respond quickly to operational challenges and contribute to the company’s maintenance excellence initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- A diploma or Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- 4–8 years of experience in an FMCG or industrial environment, with practical exposure to electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Hands-on experience with drives, motor control systems, and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and circuit diagrams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of industrial safety standards and protocols.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and energy-saving techniques.
