Job Description

The Technical Sales Engineer at Decent Solar will serve as a bridge between the company’s technical team and its clients. This role demands a combination of engineering knowledge, communication skills, and sales acumen to effectively promote solar solutions and close deals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with potential clients to understand their energy needs and recommend suitable solar solutions.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends in the renewable energy sector.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain solar products, services, and value propositions.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with commercial, residential, and industrial customers.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and installation teams to ensure that system design and delivery meet client expectations.
  • Maintain a detailed database of leads, prospects, and customer interactions using CRM tools.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, competitor products, and government regulations related to solar energy.
  • Assist in developing proposals, quotations, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with marketing to support promotional activities and campaigns.

The Technical Sales Engineer will also play a crucial role in representing Decent Solar’s values in the marketplace—integrity, transparency, and technical excellence. The role offers exposure to a wide range of solar technologies, including on-grid, hybrid, and off-grid systems.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Technical Sales Engineer role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in solar sales or a related field. Fresh graduates with strong communication and technical aptitude are also encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of solar power systems, components (inverters, panels, batteries), and installation processes.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication in English and Urdu. Ability to explain technical details clearly to non-technical customers.
