Job Description
We are currently hiring for the position of Trainee Electrical Engineer (Design & Estimation) to be based in Lahore. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity designed for individuals with 0 to 3 years of experience in electrical estimation, particularly in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
As a Trainee Electrical Engineer, you will work alongside senior estimators and engineers in preparing competitive and accurate bids for various electrical projects. Your responsibilities will span the entire lifecycle of a project, providing you with hands-on experience in both the design and cost estimation phases. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals early in their careers who are enthusiastic about learning and applying their knowledge in practical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for electrical projects.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to ensure comprehensive and accurate estimation.
- Utilize engineering software and tools to perform calculations and generate supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with the senior engineering team to refine project bids and submit proposals.
- Conduct market research to obtain current pricing and vendor data for electrical components.
- Participate in client meetings or internal briefings to understand project goals and timelines.
- Contribute to technical documentation and support project reporting requirements.
- Ensure all project estimates comply with company standards and industry best practices.
- Continuously update knowledge on new tools, electrical codes, and construction techniques.
This role will challenge your technical, analytical, and organizational skills, while offering mentorship from experienced professionals. You’ll be actively involved in shaping how we respond to client needs and competitive project opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria
We are looking for motivated individuals who meet the following qualifications:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience in electrical estimation, preferably on residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Fresh graduates with strong academic performance and internship experience are also encouraged to apply.
Technical Proficiency:
- Familiarity with electrical design software and estimation tools is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
- Knowledge of local and international electrical standards and codes is a plus.
- MS Excel proficiency and ability to handle data for estimation purposes.
Analytical & Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills for accurate estimations.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a collaborative team environment.

Location
