Job Description

The Trainee Engineer – Production Operations role at International Packaging Films Limited offers a comprehensive training experience for aspiring engineers who are ready to begin their professional journey in manufacturing and production management. This program is crafted to provide exposure to every aspect of the plant’s operational framework, allowing trainees to develop technical expertise and leadership skills essential for long-term success in the industrial sector.

As a Trainee Engineer, you will work directly with production supervisors, process engineers, and technical staff to support daily plant operations. You will assist in monitoring process parameters, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and maintaining compliance with safety and environmental protocols. This position is a learning-intensive opportunity designed to build your understanding of industrial systems, production workflows, and maintenance coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in day-to-day production operations, ensuring all processes run efficiently and meet production targets.
  • Monitor equipment performance and process variables to identify potential issues and recommend improvements.
  • Learn and implement production standards, quality assurance protocols, and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure smooth operation of machinery and timely resolution of technical problems.
  • Support the Quality Control (QC) department in ensuring that all products meet company and customer specifications.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing manufacturing processes and reducing operational downtime.
  • Gain exposure to plant utilities, equipment calibration, preventive maintenance practices, and data-driven production management.
  • Prepare production reports and assist in documentation related to process control and quality monitoring.

This position is not merely an entry-level job — it is the foundation of a long-term engineering career within IPAK’s industrial ecosystem. Trainees will rotate through various sections of the plant to understand the complete production cycle, from raw material handling to finished product output.

By the end of the program, trainees will have a strong grasp of process optimization, machinery operations, teamwork coordination, and industrial safety management — essential skills for any engineer aspiring to advance in manufacturing and operations leadership roles.

IPAK fosters a supportive learning environment where trainees are guided by experienced engineers and supervisors. The company’s training approach emphasizes practical exposure over theory, helping participants transition smoothly from academia to the professional world.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to one of Pakistan’s most advanced packaging production plants while gaining exposure to automation, process engineering, and quality management systems.
