2. Job Description
The Graduate Trainee Engineers (GTE) Program 2025 at Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited is designed to give young engineers a strong foundation in industrial operations. This is not just a training program—it is a career-launching platform that blends classroom learning, practical assignments, and mentorship from some of the most experienced professionals in the industry.
As a GTE, you will be placed in different departments according to your academic background and interest areas. These departments may include mechanical maintenance, electrical systems, instrumentation and controls, process engineering, production, and quality control.
Over the course of the program, you will experience what it means to work in a fast-paced industrial setup where precision, safety, and efficiency are critical. You will learn how theoretical engineering knowledge is applied to solve real-world problems, optimize processes, and ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
Key areas of learning and contribution include:
- Plant Operations & Maintenance: Understand the day-to-day functioning of a cement manufacturing plant. You will support routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and process adjustments under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Project Management: Participate in ongoing engineering projects ranging from equipment installation to system upgrades and plant expansion. You will be exposed to planning, documentation, procurement, and execution phases.
- Process Optimization: Analyze production data, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements. This hands-on problem-solving experience will teach you how to work with KPIs and continuous improvement tools.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Develop a strong understanding of workplace safety protocols and environmental compliance. You’ll attend training sessions and audits to learn how to contribute to a safe working culture.
- Technical Reporting & Documentation: Learn the discipline of keeping accurate technical records, preparing reports, and contributing to the documentation required in industrial audits and inspections.
- Cross-functional Exposure: Get the opportunity to work with HR, procurement, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to understand how engineering fits into the broader business landscape.
- Mentorship & Feedback: Receive regular performance feedback, participate in one-on-one sessions with mentors, and attend structured learning modules designed by the company’s L&D team.

3. Eligibility Criteria
The GTE Program 2025 is open to candidates who have completed their engineering education and are now ready to start their careers in a professional industrial environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering from a recognized HEC-accredited university.
- Graduation Year: Candidates who have graduated in 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible to apply. Final-year students who have completed all academic requirements and are awaiting results may also be considered.
- Academic Performance: A minimum CGPA of 2.8 out of 4.0 or 60% marks is typically expected.
- Nationality: The program is open to Pakistani nationals only.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
- Good understanding of engineering fundamentals and basic industrial processes
- Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work well in teams and under pressure
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Familiarity with MS Office, AutoCAD, or engineering simulation tools is a plus
- Positive attitude, discipline, and eagerness to take on new challenges
