Currently, the company is expanding its Injection Molding Maintenance Department in Lahore and is hiring a Trainee Maintenance – Injection Molding. Job Description
Popular Pipes Group is seeking a Trainee Maintenance – Injection Molding to support its maintenance and engineering teams. The role involves daily oversight of injection molding machines, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor all injection molding machines during preventive maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with vendors and external service providers for machine maintenance and report updates to the line manager.
- Ensure health and safety standards are strictly followed within the injection molding department.
- Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Maintain detailed logs of repairs, parts usage, software backups, and machine performance.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports for management review, highlighting maintenance activities, machine downtime, and operational improvements.
- Assist in troubleshooting PLC systems, electrical schematics, and automation-related issues.
- Support the implementation of SCADA or HMI interfaces for monitoring and controlling equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and minimize downtime.
- Learn and apply industry best practices for industrial and manufacturing maintenance.
This role provides practical experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and offers exposure to both mechanical and electrical aspects of industrial maintenance. Trainees will develop hands-on skills in machinery diagnostics, system optimization, and preventive maintenance planning.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: B.Sc or B.E in Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
- Experience: Fresh graduates or 1–2 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, or injection molding operations.
- Skills:
- Strong interest in PLC systems and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC ladder logic.
- Familiarity with SCADA or HMI interfaces (preferred but not mandatory).
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental protocols in industrial settings.
