Job Description

The Trainee Sales Officer – Automotive OEM Coatings Division role is designed for fresh graduates who want to build a career in technical sales and customer relationship management within the automotive coatings industry.

This position provides exposure to both the commercial and technical aspects of OEM coatings, including:

Supporting the Sales & Marketing team in managing relationships with automotive OEM clients.
Assisting in preparing sales proposals, quotations, and presentations.
Coordinating with the technical team to ensure customer requirements are understood and addressed.
Learning about coatings applications, product specifications, and performance standards to communicate effectively with clients.
Collecting and analyzing market data on competitors, customer preferences, and industry trends.
Following up with clients for orders, deliveries, and post-sales feedback.
Assisting in organizing client meetings, product demonstrations, and technical workshops.

This is a learning-intensive trainee role, combining sales, customer engagement, and technical understanding. Over time, the trainee will develop into a Sales Officer capable of handling accounts independently.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Management.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Experience

No prior full-time experience required.
Internships or final-year projects in sales, marketing, automotive, chemical, or industrial sectors will be an advantage.

Skills

Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams.
Basic knowledge of engineering/manufacturing processes (preferred).
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Analytical mindset and problem-solving approach.
