Job Description
The Utilities Supervisor will oversee operation and maintenance (O&M) activities related to solar power plants, substations, transmission lines, and electrical utilities infrastructure. The role requires extensive hands-on experience and technical supervision capabilities to ensure uninterrupted system performance and reliability.
The selected candidate will supervise daily operations of solar PV systems, including inverters, transformers, combiner boxes, and SCADA systems. Ensuring optimal plant performance and minimizing downtime will be a primary responsibility.
The role includes oversight of transmission lines (11kV–132kV or higher voltage levels), ensuring consistent and uninterrupted power distribution. Maintenance of high-tension (HT) and low-tension (LT) switchgears, RMUs, circuit breakers, protective relays, and associated systems will fall under the candidate’s responsibility.
The Utilities Supervisor will ensure proper operation and maintenance of substations, transformers, and protection panels. Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance planning must be effectively implemented to enhance equipment lifespan and operational reliability.
The candidate will also monitor plant performance metrics, prepare maintenance and utility reports, and ensure strict compliance with safety, regulatory, and HSE standards. Troubleshooting electrical faults and supporting commissioning activities for new solar and electrical installations will also be part of the role.
This position requires strong technical knowledge, leadership capability, and the ability to work in remote project locations while maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance
- Supervise daily O&M activities of solar PV plants.
- Monitor inverters, transformers, combiner boxes, and SCADA systems.
- Oversee maintenance of transmission lines (11kV–132kV or above).
- Maintain HT/LT switchgears, RMUs, circuit breakers, and relays.
- Ensure proper maintenance of substations and transformers.
- Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
- Monitor plant performance and generate maintenance reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, operational, and HSE standards.
- Troubleshoot faults and minimize downtime.
- Support commissioning and optimization of new installations.
Eligibility Criteria
- DAE in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory).
- Minimum 10+ years of hands-on O&M experience.
- Proven experience in solar power plants and substations.
- Strong knowledge of transmission systems and switchgear.
- Experience with SCADA systems and protection relays.
- Ability to supervise teams and manage utilities operations.
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
