Job Description

The Technical Trainer at TUV Austria Bureau of Inspection & Certification (Pvt.) Ltd. will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating technical training programs for engineers, inspectors, and technicians. The role focuses on ensuring that participants gain not only theoretical understanding but also hands-on skills in critical industrial domains such as Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), ASME Power Piping, and Power Plant Efficiency Enhancement.

The Technical Trainer will report to the Training Department Head and will work in close collaboration with subject matter experts, course coordinators, and clients to ensure that training programs align with international standards such as ASNT, ASME, and ISO/IEC 17024.

This position requires a professional who possesses in-depth technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a passion for transferring knowledge. The ideal candidate should have a combination of industrial experience and academic knowledge, with the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into practical learning modules.

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery and Facilitation

Conduct structured classroom and practical sessions on technical subjects such as ANST Level II PT (Penetrant Testing) and UT (Ultrasonic Testing).
Deliver in-depth training on ASME B31.1 – Power Piping, Heat Rate and Efficiency Improvement in Power Plants, and Technical Report Writing and Interpretation.
Ensure that all training sessions adhere to TUV Austria’s international quality guidelines and are aligned with global standards.
Use a mix of in-person, on-site, and online training formats to reach diverse audiences across Pakistan.
Facilitate discussions and hands-on exercises that encourage critical thinking and real-world problem-solving.

Curriculum Development

Develop, revise, and update training materials, manuals, and evaluation tools in compliance with ASNT and ASME requirements.
Work closely with the Training Department to enhance course structure and improve delivery based on trainee feedback and emerging industry trends.
Integrate real industrial case studies and examples into the training content for better understanding and retention.

Assessment and Certification

Conduct periodic assessments, practical evaluations, and written tests to measure participants’ learning progress.
Prepare detailed assessment reports, participant feedback summaries, and training completion documentation.
Ensure all certification activities are conducted in accordance with TUV Austria’s Training Division and ISO/IEC 17024 standards.

Technical Support and Mentorship

Provide technical mentorship and guidance to participants during hands-on sessions.
Assist in designing new technical training programs that address the evolving needs of industries such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Construction.
Collaborate with industry partners to identify skill gaps and propose customized corporate training solutions.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the position of Technical Trainer at TUV Austria Bureau of Inspection & Certification (Pvt.) Ltd., candidates must meet the following educational, professional, and skill-based criteria:

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

Minimum ANST Level II PT & UT certification is mandatory.
Candidates with Level III certification will be given preference.
An in-depth understanding of ASME B31.1 and associated power piping codes and standards is required.

Experience:

Minimum 3–5 years of industrial experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), inspection, and Power Plant Operations.
